PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix toner by being efficiently heated and melted with ultrasonic vibrations of high frequencies while securing smooth movement of a fixing sheet. SOLUTION: The device, by which toner on a sheet of recording paper 10 is fixed by moving the recording paper 10 between horn 2 for a low frequency as an ultrasonic vibration tool and a pressure roller 5 as a supporting means which are opposing each other and giving energy to heat and melt the toner, is provided with a low frequency ultrasonic oscillator 1 for applying ultrasonic vibrations of a relatively low frequency to the toner and a high frequency ultrasonic oscillator 3 for applying those of a relatively high frequency thereto, and are arranged to load the toner with both the low frequency ultrasonic vibrations of a relatively low frequency and the high frequency ultrasonic vibrations of a relatively high frequency overlapped.
