FLUFFY FIBER AND FLUFFY FIBER STRUCTURE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a fluffy fiber having large surface area and highly deformed cross-section by bristling a number of filmy constituent elements from a substrate in the cross section of the fiber while interposing gap layers between the elements, thereby forming irregularity to the side face of the filmy constituent elements. CONSTITUTION:The cross-section of the objective fiber contains a number of plumes 1 bristling as filmy constituent elements from a substrate 2 interposing gap layers between the elements to form an irregular side surface of the plumes. The fiber can be produced e.g. by forming a conjugate fiber containing irregular filmy constituent elements 1' as removable components between the plumes 1 and removing the constituent elements 1' from the conjugate fiber.
