摘要 A coherent, solid cathode material for an electrochemical cell comprises an admixture comprising a primary electrode material in the form of a graphite-fluorine intercalation compound (e.g. (CF)x) and a secondary electrode material in the form of an insertion electrode material (e.g. V6O13). The material may comprise the cathode of a solid state cell, for example having an anode containing an alkali metal such as lithium as active anode material, and a polymer electrolyte comprising a complex of a solid polymer (e.g. poly(ethylene oxide)) and an alkali metal salt (e.g. LiClO4), which polymer is capable of forming donor-acceptor type bonds with alkali metal ions, the cathode is preferably in the form of a composite in which polymer electrolyte material is also provided.
