PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a welding work by hanging a working gondola from a caterpillar runner which moves in an endless track on a deck used for a welding work of the surface of a hull, thereby eliminating an indirect working time required to install and exchange the gondola. CONSTITUTION:A welding worker rides on a gondolar 48 and welds first longitudinally while lowering the gondola 48 along the outside board 51 from a point A to a point B. Thereafter, a moving motor is stepwisely operated to move a movable housing 37 on rais 35 and the worker welds laterally from the point B to a point D, a winch motor is further stepwisely moved at the point D, and the worker welds longitudinally from the point D to the point C while raising the gondola 48. Thus, after the welding of one welding block 9 is completed, the gondolar 48 is contained in a box 49, a caterpillar 31 is driven by a running motor, and a working unit 17 is moved to the position of next welding block. |
