<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the controlled distance of a vehicle having an anti-lock brake system(ABS) and a lockable differential gear (ASD) by effecting control so that the connection of the ASD is extended until a vehicle speed signal decreases to a specified value from the time of detection of different coefficients of friction. CONSTITUTION: During the operation of a vehicle, an ABS inputs the output signal nR of each wheel speed sensor and a brake signal B and issues control signals to solenoid control valves (three-way valves) VL-HR attached to wheel brakes, to raise, lower, or maintain the control pressure of each wheel brake. An ASD is controlled depending on operating conditions by a switching device 1 which inputs a vehicle speed signal VF, a brake signal B, a regulation signal SR appearing when a regulating process is effected in the ABS, a confirmation signal Sμappearing when a different coefficient of friction is confirmed, a curve signal SK induced from lateral acceleration, etc., and the like; i.e., the ASD is controlled so that the connection of the ASD is postponed until the vehicle speed signal decreases to a specified value from the time of detection of different coefficients of friction.</p> |
