A waterproof and fireproof paper is produced by adding a fire retardant composition to a kraft paperboard formed with an unbleached natural fiber yarn, and then forming a waterproofing layer of acrylic resin on the one side of the paper board. The appts. comprises a coating means for the fire retardant composition, a coating means for the waterproofing liquor and an infrared heating dry chamber.
