<p>PURPOSE:To easily obtain a heat-resistant molded article useful in all industrial fields while enabling to freely select a metallic mold and the quantity of a blend, by a method wherein inorganic fibers, heat-resistant organic fibers, a rubber liquid and rubber chemicals are mixed with each other to produce a clay form blend, and after drying the blend, it is placed in a metallic mold and is thermocompression molded. CONSTITUTION:Inorganic fibers (e.g., asbestos fibers, carbon fibers) or heat- resistant organic fibers (e.g., polyimide fibers, aramid fibers), a rubber liquid obtained by dissolving a rubber (e.g., natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber) in a solvent and rubber chemicals (e.g., sulfur, vulcanization accelerator) are mixed with each other to produce a clay form blend comprising not less than 60wt% of fibers, not more than 20wt% of rubber and the remainder of rubber chemicals. After drying the blend to evaporate the solvent to obtain a cotton form material, the material is placed in a force, and is thermocompression molded in the conditions of a temperature of 130-200 deg.C and a pressure of 150- 300kg/cm<2> to produce a heat-resistant molded article.</p> |
