A method is described of preparing edible particulate materials such as farinaceous materials, breadcrumbs, expanded starch, potatoes, rice, etc, wherein the edible particulate material is mixed with edible oil or fat and heat treated in hot air in a temperature range 105 DEG -300 DEG for a period of 15 seconds to 25 minutes. |
