<p>A fluorescent aqueous marking fluid is described which contains the coumarin dye C.I. Basic Yellow 40 in amounts of from 0.2 to 2.0% by weight. The fluid is buffered at a pH of 3-5; it contains, as supporting resin, an acrylic resin dispersion which is stable at pH 3-5 and has a particle agglomerate size of 35-150 nm. The fluid does not attack other dyes, in particular triphenylmethane dyes, as are frequently used in copy papers, and can also be used on smooth surfaces, such as glass, plastic film or glossy papers.</p> |
