PURPOSE: A rubber sleeve for coiling rolled steel sheet is provided which is manufactured more easily, used conveniently and applied to various purposes, and which substantially improves quality of the strip by preventing defects from generating on a rolled strip. CONSTITUTION: The rubber sleeve comprises a rubber (elastic body)(1) formed of synthetic rubber or natural rubber according to applications to display required characteristics; a cord paper(2) inserted into the inner circumference surface of the rubber to prevent the rubber sleeve from longitudinally bending or tearing off; embossing(3) and groove(4) formed on the inner diameter surface of mandrel to prevent damage of the rubber sleeve during using of the rubber sleeve and easily coil a rolled strip on the rubber sleeve by increasing friction between the mandrel and the rubber, thereby preventing the rubber from slipping away from the mandrel; and an outer surface(5) of the rubber sleeve which is processed in an irregular, grooved or flat shape to easily coil the strip to be coiled without slip or telescope (twisted winding) of the strip and the rubber sleeve by increasing frictional force of strip to be coiled and the outer surface of the rubber sleeve, wherein formation of marks on the surface of the strip or generation of telescope on the strip coiled is prevented by increasing or reducing hardness or tensile strength of the rubber according to strips to be coiled.
