PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material capable of fixing a recorded image and excellent in preservability, by a method wherein a p-phenylenediamine compound, a coupler compound, a substance capable of forming a base when being heated and an accelerator are incorporated in a recording layer provided on a base. CONSTITUTION:Per 10pts.wt. of a binder, a coupler compound is used in a quantity of 0.1-10pts.wt., a p-phenylenediamine compound is used in a quantity of 0.1-10pts.wt., a base-forming substance is used in a quantity of 1-40pts.wt., and an accelerator which is soluble in water is used in a quantity of 0.1-10pts.wt., while an accelerator which is insoluble in water is used in a quantity of 5- 50pts.wt. The developed color image thus obtained is stable for a long period of time without any discoloring, since the image is comprised of a colored dye synthesized by a coupling reaction. In addition since the recorded image is fixed, it is extremely difficut to falsify the record after recording. |
