PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure-sensitive recording sheet enhanced in color forming speed by incorporating a metallic salt of aromatic carboxylic acid and a specific compound in an electron accepting color developer layer. CONSTITUTION:In a pressure-sensitive recording sheet forming a color image by the reaction of a substantially colorless electron donative dye with an electron accepting color developer, the electron accepting color developer layer contains a metallic salt of aromatic carboxylic acid and a compound shown by a formula I. In the formula, R1 is 1 - 30 C alkyl, alkoxy, alkylamino, or 6 - 20 C aryl; and R2 is 1 - 30 C alkyl, 6 - 20 C aryl, or hydrogen. The aromatic carboxylic acid in the metallic salt of aromatic carboxylic acid having hydroxyl at the ortho or para position to carboxyl group is effectively used, and particularly a salicylic acid derivative is preferably used. It is preferable that substituents, such as alkyl, aryl, and aralkyl, are contained in the aromatic carboxylic acid, and the total number of carbon atoms in the substituents is 8 or more. |
