The infra-red oven has an elongated horizontal burner (5) with at least one distributor (5c) coupled to the burner body inlet. The distributor is inclined towards a metal screen (14) and positioned in the vertical plane of the gas burner and radiator element (3). The distriubor has upwards pointing outlets the centre one (59) being tilted upwards and in the opposite direction to the centre direction (60) of the metal screen. The inlet and the top outlets handle the mixture of combustion gas and primary air.
