Date Apr. 7, 1988.An isorunning-counterrunning developer station comprises a plurality of isorunning developer drums moving isodirectionally with the charge image carrier and one counterruning developer drum. A developer mix is offered to the first isorunning developer drum via a paddle wheel proceeding from a supply chamber and is conducted from the first isorunning developer drum to the counterrunning developer drum via further isorunning developer drums. An exposure means composed of a transparent protective tube having a LED strip contained therein is provided above the developer drum, this exposure means being in turn followed by a carrier stripper drum.
