PLANT-CULTIVATING BED HAVING HIGH LOFT SPINNING-FIBER

PURPOSE: To form a cultivation bed which is capable of replenishing plants with the air optimum for correct growth of roots and plant cultivation and is easily compressible for the purpose of simple shipping by adopting a structure obtd. by packing relatively high-loft bed materials of crimped spun fibers into bags formed of relatively thin plastic sheets. CONSTITUTION: This cultivation bed is formed of the bags 20 which are formed of the relatively thin plastic materials prohibiting the passage of liquid and air and are substantially closed at their ends and the bed materials 30 of the relatively high loft of the crimped spun fibers 31 in these bags 20. The greater parts of the crimped spun fibers 31 are hydrophobia artificial man-made stable fibers and the remaining small parts of the crimped fibers are hydrophilic stable fibers accelerating the holding of the liquid. Both fibers are blended over the entire part of the bed materials 30 but are not connected to each other and allow the easy formation of holes 21 to accommodate the transplanted plants 12 in the bed materials 30. The bed materials 30 impart open spaces 32 around the crimped fibers 31 so as to consider the optimum air for the adequate growth of the roots and the plant cultivation.
