摘要 PURPOSE:To make sensitivity uniform for three components i.e. clay, titanium oxide and calcium carbonate by arranging an amplifier, a measured value/ moisture value detector and an arithmetic device. CONSTITUTION:Primary X rays irradiated from an X-ray tube 1 are attenuated being transmitted through an object 3 to be measured and then, detected with an ionization chamber 2 to be a detection signal S1. Thereafter, the signal is amplified with an amplifier 4 to be inputted into an arithmetic device 6 and computed with a measured value/moisture value signal S2 from a measured value/moisture value detector 5 to be outputted to an arithmetic device 12 as ash rate signal S3. On the other hand, primary X rays to be irradiated from an X-ray tube 1 contain continuous X rays enough to generate fluorescent X rays of Ca. Therefore, fluorescent X rays pertaining to the object 3 to be measured are detected with a fluorescent X-ray tube, after a detection signal S4 is amplified, a signal of Ca alone is picked up with a pulse height selector 11 from the signal and then, transmitted to the arithmetic device 12 as correction signal S5 for Ca. With the arithmetic device 12, the signal S3 is computed with the signal S5 thereby producing an ash rate signal S6 with the correction of the amount of CaCO3 corrected.
