发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the transfer rate and resolving power of an image by providing a release layer based an wax on a support and further providing an ink layer based on a colorant and a specific copolymer component thereon and furthermore laminating a fixability enhancing layer based on a resin having a specific glass transition point. CONSTITUTION:A release layer 2 based on wax having an m.p. of 50 -90 deg.C is provided on a support 1 and an ink layer 3 based on a colorant and a copolymer of ethylene and ethyl acrylate or vinyl acetate (ethylene content ; 70-90wt.%) having a melt index of 50-4000g/10min and a styrene/isoplene/styrene and/or styrene/butadiene/styrene type block copolymer is provided thereon and, further, a fixability enhancing layer based on at least one kind of a resin having a glass transition point of 100 deg.C or more selected from styrenic and/or styrene derivative type, vinyl type and acrylic resins is further laminated. By this method, thermal transfer properties at the times of high density printing and high speed printing is enhanced and a printing image of high resolving power can be obtained even to a paper low in smoothness.
