PURPOSE:To obtain a color original reader with a simple structure, by using a CCD sensor which contains plural photosensitive element trains of different colors arrayed on a chip and can deliver color signals in parallel to each other. CONSTITUTION:A color original 1 is fed from a roller 2 toward an arrow mark to undergo the secondary scanning. The image on the original 1 which is irradiated by a white fluorescent lamp 3 is formed on a CCD line sensor 64 through a lens 54. The photoelectric transducer trains 81-83 which contain numbers of photoelectric transducers arranged equidistantly in the main scanning direction rectangular to the secondary scanning direction and are covered with the red, green and blue filters 71-73 respectively are formed on the sensor 64. These trains 81-83 detect the red, green and blue beams, and these detection signals are delivered outside with the prescribed timing and in the form of read signals through three analog shift registers which are distributed in correspondence and parallel to the trains 81-83 and via the transfer gate trains. |
