PURPOSE:To provide a flux cored wire for arc welding which decreases generation of spatters and has no opening in a sheath part by forming a scale layer on the inside surface of the wire in such a way that said layer is formed at a specific ratio with the wire sheath. CONSTITUTION:The flux cored wire for arc welding is made into the quadruple structure consisting of a plated or lubricant-coated layer 5, a steep pipe 1 which is the sheath having no aperture, the scale layer 4 on the inside surface thereof and a flux 2 to be filled therein. The layer 4 on the inside surface of the sheath 1 is positively formed so that the scale quantity thereof attains 0.1-10mg per unit weight (g) of the sheath 1. Generation of spatters during arc welding are effectively reduced by formation of the layer 4. |
