PURPOSE:To enhance not only the sensitivity and density of an image but also the preservability of said image against heat and light by containing a polyester resin composed of a polycondensation product of a diol component containing an aromatic diol derivative of a terpene compound and a dicarboxylic acid component containing a dicarboxylic acid compound in a dye thermal transfer image receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:The dye thermal transfer image receiving layer formed on one surface of a sheet like substrate contains a dyeable resin easily dyed with a sublimable disperse dye as a component and, as the dyeable resin, a polyester resin synthesized by the polycondensation reaction of a diol component containing aromatic diol synthesized from a phenol derivative of terpene and a dicarboxylic acid component is used. By this method, the image receptivity of the thermal transfer image receiving layer of the sublimable dye and the sensitivity or density of an image are enhanced, and the transfer speed to the surface of an image receiving sheet and the density of the image on said sheet are also enhanced and fading due to heat is reduced and light fastness is improved. |
