<p>PURPOSE:To precisely stop a support at a specified position so as to proceed to the next operation by a method wherein a to-be-detected element is mounted near a position where the support has a maximum radius, and the position of the inner drum is accurately detected without an error by a sensor attached on an outer drum. CONSTITUTION:An inner drum 33 is rotated around a horizontal axial line X-X or a tilted axial line to carry out washing of laundry. And, a support 21 is spun around a vertical axial line Y-Y at a high speed together with the inner drum 33, in which the washed laundry is held, to perform dewatering operation. Further, a to-be-detected element 108 is accurately detected by a sensor 109 attached on an outer drum when dewatering is completed since the to-be-detected element 108 is mounted near a position of the support where its radius is maximum, that is, a position where the moving quantity of the support is maximum. Therefore, the position of the support 21 is accurately detected, which allows the support 21 to be precisely stopped at a specified position according to the detected position. As a result, the operation can be proceeded to the next step smoothly without correcting the position of the support 21.</p> |
