PURPOSE:To deluster the surface of a thermoplastic synthetic resin plate by holding the surface temperature of elastic rollers having rugged surfaces at a temperature higher than the temperature of thermally deforming the plate, pressing and rotating the roller to elastically deform the surface of the plate in surface contact. CONSTITUTION:The surface temperature of elastic silicon rubber rollers 1a, 1b having finely rugged surfaces is held at a temperature higher than the temperature of thermally deforming a thermoplastic resin plate 3 (e.g., methacrylic resin), the rollers are rotated and pressed in surface contact with the surface of the plate 3 to elastically deform the contacted surface. Simultaneously, the plate 3 or the rollers 1a, 1b are moved, thereby transferring the rugged surfaces 2a, 2b of the rollers to the surface of the plate 3 and uniformly delustering the surface of the plate 3. This method has an advantage that the warpage of the plate occurred after the delustering becomes extremely small as compared with the conventional method. |
