A plurality of mines M are disposed in a minefield unit 17 each mine being mounted on gimbals inside a receiving device. An acquisition device 16 determines the instantaneous position and speed 19 of a moving foreign body 18 and aims the various mines towards a point P' where the foreign body 18 will shortly be. The explosion of several mines is commanded simultaneously so that the foreign body is hit by dispersive fire coming from several directions. The target hit probability is close to 100%. <IMAGE>
