PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic material enhanced in characteristics of surface potential decay, by adding a specified acceptor to polyvinylcarbazole to give sensitivity to a long wavelength light. CONSTITUTION:A small amount of 2,3-dichloro-5,6-cyanoparabenzoquinone represented by the right formula is added as an acceptor to a benzene solution of polyvinylcarbazole by about 1/30 of said carbazole. This solution dissolving said benzoquinone is coated and dried on a conductive substrate to form an electrophotographic material, thus permitting this material to have high sensitivity to a light ranging to a long wavelength region, and to be fabricated easily as low cost. |
