PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of a jig, etc., in the case of performing superplastic working and to enhance working velocity by interposing boron nitride powder to the contact face of both ceramic and the jig, etc., for working it. CONSTITUTION:Boron nitride powder is interposed to the contact face of both ceramic 11 being material to be worked and the jigs 12, 13 for working it. Then superplastic working is performed therefor in vacuum or inert gas. In this superplastic working, such property is utilized that ceramic contg. zirconia and ceramic such as alumina are deformed in low stress at high temp. Breakage of ceramic 11 and the jigs 12, 13 which is caused in the case of this working is prevented. Further thermal stress is relaxed and cooling velocity is enhanced and working of ceramic is quickly performed. |
