A fuel pump housing (50) with an inlet (51) and an outlet (52) is mounted inside the fuel tank (20) of a motor vehicle on a tube (22) within a support casing (24,28). Two L-shaped rings (60) secure the pump inside this casing. The pref. material for the rings is a fluoro-elastomer or a fluoro-silicone material.
