Preparations of oxypurinol and/or its alkali or alkaline earth salts in non-crystalline form contain the active ingredient in the form of a solid dispersion with pharmacologically acceptable additives. They dissolve more rapidly and more completely than oxypurinol and/or its alkali or alkaline earth salts. They can be used to manufacture drugs with high bioavailability of the active ingredient oxypurinol.
