摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of an engine stop by a method wherein the pressure of working oil from a lockup control valve to a fluid joint is always regulated to a given value by means of a lockup clutch pressure regulating valve, and the pressure is increased by a given value in response to the working of a lockup rapid release valve. CONSTITUTION:A lockup clutch pressure regulating valve 310 always regulates the pressure of working oil fed to the lockup clutch of a fluid joint from a lockup control valve 320 to a given value. However, during disengagement of the lockup clutch, working oil flowing out from the oil chamber on the engagement side of the fluid joint is released by means of a lockup rapid release valve 400 from the middle of a discharge passage. The pressure of working oil fed to the fluid joint in response to the working thereof is varied to a value higher by a given pressure by means of the lockup clutch pressure regulating valve 310, and release response of the lockup clutch is improved. This constitution enables prevention of the occurrence of an engine stop during rapid brake even a case a relatively low value is used for the decision reference value of lockup clutch engagement control.
