The invention relates to the field of fire fighting by using a projectile launcher which transports a fire fighting hose into the seat of a fire. The prior art devices require a nozzle of a fire fighting hose to be physically carried to a site and forced therethrough by an operator, either manually or by a boom mounted on a truck. The invention solves this problem by projecting a fighting fire hose directly into the seat of the fire by a projectile launcher. The invention includes a pressure tank (12) with a barrel (14) which is in fluid communication with the interior of the tank (12), a projectile (16) positioned in the barrel (14), a hose (19) is connected at one end to the projectile (16) and at the other end to the other side of the tank (12). The hose (19) is connected at the other side of the tank (12) to a fluid source. The tank (12) is filled with compressed gas which gives launching force to the projectile (19). |
