The subject matter of the invention is a coupling device for the releasable connection of fluid lines in or on two components which can be changed in position relative to one another, in the case of which the line connection is carried out by the introduction of pairs of coupling elements which are guided together along upwardly directed axes. For better protection of the lower coupling elements (1) against the penetration of foreign bodies from the surroundings, at least one rail (3, 4) is arranged, according to the invention, in addition to the movement path for the lower coupling elements (1) and connected to the lower coupling elements (1) for joint movement towards the upper coupling elements (2) or away from the same, said rail first of all running to the sides of the lower coupling elements (1) and parallel to the displacement axis (A) thereof and then being bent off transversely thereto, and, moreover, a covering plate (5) which is fixed at one end (7) and consists of a resilient material is guided in or on the rail (3, 4) such that, during the movement of the lower coupling elements (1) towards the upper coupling elements (2), it is transferred out of the bent-off rest position, covering over the opening of the lower coupling elements (1), into an at least largely rectilinear operating position which releases the lower coupling elements (1) for their connection to the upper coupling elements (2). <IMAGE>
