The invention relates to a masonry block for installation slots, comprising a cuboidal body with an upper side, underside and four peripheral sides which adjoin one another at a corner in each case and of which two mutually opposite, first peripheral sides are of a greater length and two mutually opposite second peripheral sides are of a smaller length. The invention is distinguished in that there is provided, on one of the first peripheral sides, a cutout which is open towards said peripheral side and is also open towards the top side and underside, and in that the cutout is at a lesser distance from one of the two second peripheral sides than it is from the other of the two second peripheral sides.
