The device consists of a cup-shaped body and has an air vent near its closed end which can be stopped by a plug. A filter paper is placed over the open end of the body and is held in place by a removable cover. A thin metal foil container may be used inside the body, and is held between it and the cover. An insulating insert or a spacer may be placed between the container and the body. The coffee or other prepn. is placed in the container and boiling water is poured onto it, the filter paper and cover are then attached to the body, and a coffee-cup is inverted and placed in position on the cover. The device and the cup are then turned upside-down, and after a certain time the vent is opened and the coffee.allowed to fall through the filter into the cup. USE/ADVANTAGE - This invention is used in making individual cups of coffee, tea, etc. by means of filtration. It can be used quickly and easily in any location, provides individual selection of the coffee strength etc. for each person, and preserves the aroma of the beverage.
