PURPOSE: To enable a molding press suitable as factory equipment for mass- production by providing a central means constituted so as to be capable of inserting a means for molding a tire bead into the central part of a tire to hold the tire bead to a closely bonded state. CONSTITUTION: A side wall mold 22 for molding the side wall of a tire is incorporated in the undersurface of an upper platen 12 and a similar side wall mold 23 is incorporated in the upper surface of a lower platen 11. Central mechanisms 26, 27 are attached to the respective lower and upper platens. The respective central mechanisms 26, 27 are engaged with the inside peripheral edge parts (beads 28, 29) of a green tire to heremtically seal and mold them to fulfil a main purpose. A segment part (partial circular part) tread mold means 36 is attached to the lower platen 11 in a freely movable manner. The central mechanisms 26, 27 are equipped with two parts 37, 38 so as to be mutually engaged partially and the part 38 is arranged so as to be engaged with the outsides of the respective beads 28, 29. |
