PURPOSE:To perform regrinding inexpensively by making the moving amount in the axial direction of an end mill which is obtained by rotating a dummy and bringing the detection part of a profile device into contact with the lead as the feeding amount of a grindstone, and rotating a regrinding end mill while interlocking therewith. CONSTITUTION:A detection part 10 is abutted to the notch start position 19 of a dummy 3, the grinding part 21 of a grinding grindstone 12 is abutted to the notch start position 20 of a regrinding end mill 1 to drive by chasing into the radial direction by the necessary grinding amount. When a movable base 8 is move moderately in an arrow mark direction, the dummy 3 is moderately rotated to this side by the action of a rotation balancing device 14. The regrinding end mill 1 is leniently rotated to this side as well via a connection shaft 5 and according to the movement in the right direction of the movable base 8 the grinding grindstone is moved in the left direction of the regrinding end mill 1. The rake face 23 of the twisted cutting edge 22 of the regrinding end mill is subjected to regrinding by the necessary amount while profiling to the lead groove 9 of the dummy 3. |
