A description is given of a load-bearing skeleton for a counter-ceiling, having intersecting longitudinal and transverse load-bearing crossmembers, having tube junction pieces on which the ceiling panels are fastened via flat webs, and having, in the points of intersection of the longitudinal and transverse load-bearing crossmembers, coupling parts which are parallel to load-bearing rails. The load-bearing skeleton, according to the invention, for a counter-ceiling is distinguished in that the longitudinal and transverse load-bearing crossmembers each comprise two load-bearing rails which make contact with one or more tube junction pieces, spaced apart in a grid-type arrangement, which are profiled in an essentially T-shaped manner and the central webs of which point towards one another, in that the load-bearing rails profiled in a T-shaped manner are connected by means of preformed connecting pieces, whose bottom plane passes through a tube junction piece in each case, in that the tube junction pieces each exhibit portions which can rotate about themselves, in that the connection between the longitudinal and transverse load-bearing crossmembers takes place in a screw-free manner such that the ends of the load-bearing crossmembers are designed in the form of hooks and engage into slots provided in side surfaces, and in that a coupling part parallel to the load-bearing crossmembers secures the junction piece.
