The hitherto known holders for picks have excessive play in the new condition so that the components deflect quickly and the holder of the pick is put at risk. A holder is proposed in which the mounting space for the pick is completely accommodated in the holder device and by a tongue-and-groove arrangement which enables the two components to be secured to one another in a positive-locking manner. <IMAGE>
