Adjusting nut for bearings

An adjusting nut 2 has, for variably fixing bearings in the axial direction, a threaded portion 8 and a sleeve portion 7. The sleeve portion 7 lies with a clearance 11 on the lateral surface of a spindle 3. The sleeve portion 7 is, in length, at least equal to half the diameter of the spindle 3 and the axes of the sleeve portion 7 and the spindle 3 are eccentric and parallel. The inner circumferential surface of the sleeve portion 7 is partially in contact with the lateral surface of the spindle 3 (Fig. 1).
