PURPOSE:To carry out preparation mechanically and efficiently by pulling out the trailing edge of a roll set to a paper feeding part to a suction conveyer, obliquely cutting the trailing edge and applying a reinforcing adhesive tape along the front edge of the roll. CONSTITUTION:A suction conveyer box 21 has a number of suction holes 23 on an upper inclination plate 22 guiding the move of the roll A, and imparts suction force to the suction holes to suck the roll A pulled out to the inclination plate 22. The suction force acting on the hole 36 of a belt 34 from the suction holes 23 of the suction box and from those of a suction case 35 sucks the trailing edge of the roll A. By moving of a cutter 54, the roll A is cut obliquely. When the adhesive tape T passes below a previously lowered roller 83, it is pressed by the roller 83 to firmly stick to the roll A. |
