A method for offering a CWHS(Call Waiting Holding Service) and a system thereof are provided to offer a waiting guide message or a background music to a caller if the caller requests a call connection to a callee and the callee attempts a call connection to other subscriber, and to make the call connection between the caller and the callee by notifying the callee of the caller's call connection request if the callee succeeds in or fails in the call connection to other subscriber. A method for offering a CWHS(Call Waiting Holding Service) comprises the following several steps. The first call connection request for requesting a call connection to a terminal of a callee is received from a terminal of a caller(8202). It is checked whether terminal of the callee is attempting to make a voice call connection to the third terminal by analyzing a state of the terminal of the callee(8204-8212). In case terminal of the callee is attempting to make a voice call connection to the third terminal, it is checked whether terminal of the callee has subscribed for the CWHS and the CWHS is activated(8214-8218). In case the terminal of the callee has subscribed for the CWHS and the CWHS is activated, a guide message and a background music are transmitted to terminal of the callee(8222). It is checked whether terminal of the callee is in a voice call connection to the third terminal(8228). If terminal of the callee succeeds in the voice call connection to the third terminal, transmission of the background music is stopped, a ring back tone is transmitted to terminal of the caller, and a call waiting sound is transmitted to terminal of the callee(8232,8234,8236,8240). |
