A friend search service supply system and a method thereof are provided to offer location information of a subscriber who subscribes for a friend search service by using a location based service, and to express the location information through a map where an avatar of the subscriber exists, thereby searching locations of other people. A location manager(310) manages location information of the first terminal(100) which demands supply of a friend search service and location information of the second terminal(200) for a subscriber corresponding to a friend. An avatar manager(320) manages avatar information corresponding to the subscriber, and extracts the first avatar information for the first terminal(100) and the second avatar information for the second terminal(200). A map information generator(330) generates map information of an area which includes spots corresponding to the location information of the first terminal(100) and the location information of the second terminal(200). A service controller(340) transmits the first avatar information, the second avatar information, and the map information to the first terminal(100) according to a request of the first terminal(100). |
