PURPOSE:To enable mounting work and to manufacture at a low cost by dividing a short-circuit ring into a plurality of rings in the circumferential direction and, at the same time, connecting each of short-circuit members to each other electrically. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of conducting bars 1 are so arranged to the extremely outer peripheral part of a rotor that they are placed in the circumferential direction, extending them in the direction of t he axis of the rotor, and each end of them is short-circuited by a short-circuit ring 11. The conductive bars 1 are housed into a metallic support cylinder 4 and are held by a wedge 2 against centrifugal force. The short-circuit ring 11 is divided into four rings in the circumferential direction. In order to connect divided short-circuit ring members 11a electrically, and discontinuities 11b between the short-circuit ring members 11a are connected to a low fusion alloy after mounting the short-circuit ring members 11a to a support cylinder. According to the constitution, the short-circuit ring 11 is manufactured at a low cost, and the mounting can be done from the radial direction, so that good workability can be obtained. |
