PURPOSE: To obtain a uniform customer audible area, to reduce distortion, and to obtain a satisfactory voice normal position and sense of presence by integrally arranging a speaker element with an acoustic boundary wall face so as to be made adjacent to the rear part of a screen, and applying a prescribed absorber to the wall face. CONSTITUTION: A screen 2 is arranged at the upper part of a stage 4 and at the lower part of a proscenium arch 6. A speaker system is provided with speaker elements 8a-8e at the rear part of a screen. The elements 8a-8e are integrated with a rigid wall face 10. The wall face 10 is isolated from the screen 2, and arranged in parallel to this. Awafer element includes two direct radial corn-shaped diaphragm speaker converters. An absorber 12 applied to the acoustic boundary wall face 10 in the neighborhood of the high frequency speaker elements allows low frequency components to be transmitted, and absorbs high frequency components. Two direct radial corn-shaped speakers 14 and 16 are combined in a perforated cabinet 18 having open holes 20 and 22. A sound insulator 26 at the rear part of the wall 10 minimzes the wall trans-mission of a sound. A cross-over circuit network for the speaker elements is arranged in the low level stage of the system. |
