The invention relates to trolleys intended for transporting patients between rest areas (bedrooms, communal rooms) and examination or treatment rooms. More specifically the present invention is characterised in that the surface on which the transported person rests is formed by, or in contact with, the upper wall of a tank containing a substance (5) enabling a substantial quantity of thermal energy to be stored, and the substance to be returned to a physiologically acceptable temperature, substantially between 20 and 45 degrees Celsius approximately, the said thermal energy being substantially dissipated by conduction in the said transport surface (2), and in that said substance interacts with means (4) making it possible to return to it at regular intervals the quantities of thermal energy dissipated.
