The high tensile chain steel is prepared by the stages of mixing 0.20-0.34 wt.% carbon, 0.20-0.40 wt.% silicon, 1.30-1.90 wt.% manganese, max. 0.03 wt.% phosphorus, max. 0.03 wt.% sulfur, 0.01- 0.20 wt.% vanadium and 0.03-0.06 wt.% aluminium with steel, heating at the temp. of 1250±20 deg.C, pressing at the temp. of 925±25 deg.C, quenching and tempering at the temp. of 850-860 deg.C. The chain steel has a good impact-resistance and welding property and strength.
