The present invention relates to a dispersant comprising as an effective ingredient 3-[(3-cholamidopropyl) dimethylammonio]-1-propane sulfonate (hereafter referred to as CHAPS) or 3-[(3-cholamidopropyl)dimethylammonio]-2-hydroxy-1-propane sulfonate (hereafter referred to as CHAPSO) that is useful for stabilization of biologically active (poly)peptides.
