PURPOSE:To adjust the focus to a desired object to be photographed even at the time of flash photographing by executing the focusing, based on focusing information detected before a shutter release is executed after pre-light emission is executed at the time of flash photographing accompanied with the pre-light emission. CONSTITUTION:At the time of flash photographing for which a pink-eye effect prevention light emitting device 103 is used, focusing information is detected by a focusing information detecting means 101 before a shutter release is executed after a pre-light emission by the pink-eye effect prevention light emitting device 103 is executed, and based on its information, automatic focusing is executed by an automatic focusing means 104. Subsequently, after this automatic focusing, the shutter release is executed, and also, it is irradiated with an irradiating light for illuminating an object to be photographed. In such a way, a time lag to the shutter release after detecting the focusing information is suppressed to the minimum, and even at the time of flash photographing accompanied with a light emission for preventing a pink-eye effect, the focus can be adjusted surely to a desired object to be photographed. |
