PURPOSE:To smoothen and quicken the moving-in and out operation of vehicles by a method in which each of vehicles is numbered and incoming vehicles with stored parking floor number are recognized by using a computer and guiding to a given parking position. CONSTITUTION:A parking facility 1 consists of parking floors 3, parking areas 4 arranged in a sideward row on the floors 3, an elevator 5 with a vertically movable base 6, an elevator 15 for people, and a vehicles guide. The guide consists of a reader 13 to recognize vehicles 2, a display board 13 to display parking positions calculated by computer, a vehicle stopper 8 to detect vehicles and also to call for the elevator 5, and sensors 10 and 11 to open a safety fence 9. Vehicles 2 are smoothly guided to a given parking position and parked thereat. The facilities can thus be effectively utilized. |
