SURFACE ROUGHENING METHOD FOR ORGANIC ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY

PURPOSE:To prevent a cleaning defect and to obtain good-quality images by using a polishing material having the width larger than the max. length in the longitudinal direction of a photosensitive body in the part of the photosensitive body where surface roughening is executed. CONSTITUTION:The polishing material 2 having the width 10 larger than the max. length 9 in the longitudinal direction of the photosensitive body 1 in the part of the photosensitive body 1 where the surface roughening is executed is used. The formation of seams of polished surfaces in the direction perpendicular to the polishing direction of the part of the photosensitive body 1 to be subjected to the surface roughening is averted in such a manner, by which all of the max., average and min. surface roughnesses are kept within a prescribed range. The cleaning defect is prevented in this way and the good-quality images are obtd.
