CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CONSOLE COMMAND CATALOG

PURPOSE:To improve both the production efficiency and the operability of a command catalog by switching two command catalog tables with each other after updating one of both tables that is not under reference during a system operation. CONSTITUTION:A user of a computer system registers the command character strings to be turned into a catalog into a command catalog register file 2 via a command catalog register control means 1. At system starting an evolution control means 3 is started by a system starting control means 7. Thus the register contents of the file 2 are compressed and then stored in a command catalog control table 41 with addition of the control information. Then the reference is possible right after the system starting via a command production control means 6. When the command catalog is updated, the contents of the updated file 2 are stored in either one of two command catalog control tables 41 and 42 that is not under reference via the means 6 at that time point. As a result, a new command catalog is registered and carried out at an optional time point.
