PURPOSE:To easily set teaching data for picture processing by anyone without needing special knowledge, intuition and experience by automatically adjusting the teaching data for picture processing, namely, parameter for picture processing adjustment and setting an optimum value. CONSTITUTION:The variously dispensed picture of a detection subject is stored to a storing means 25 and one picture of the detection subject is processed. Then, data to correspond to the parameter for picture processing are obtained and set as the temporary data of the teaching data. After that, feature data to specify the position of the picture stored in the storing means are stored for each picture. The value of each parameter for picture processing, which is temporarily set by a picture processor 13 of a visual sensor 23, is slightly changed successively in a prescribed range and the feature data of all the pictures to be stored to the storing means 25 are detected. Then, the value of the parameter for picture processing is calculated so that the sum of an error between the detected feature data and the feature data set for each picture can be made minimum. After that, this value is automatically set as the teaching data. Thus, the optimum teaching data can be automatically set by the visual sensor 23 itself. |
